North Latah Highway District Candidate Interviews
        KRFP | May 19, 2013 | 7:04 pm | Audio, Special Event | No comments

On Tuesday, May 21st, voters can cast ballots in one contested North Latah Highway District Commission Race.

The two candidates are incumbent Lee Horning of Deary and challenger Shawn Farley of  Troy.  In these interviews, they discuss their views on the Idaho Transportation Department’s proposed eastern (E-2) alignment of U.S. 95 for the widening project for the six miles immediately south of Moscow, their final say on approving 129,000 pound semi-trucks on certain roads, and other issues facing the Highway District.

You can listen here, or if you’d rather listen on the radio at 92.5 FM, the two interviews will be broadcast in their entirety Sunday at 8 pm and Monday at 9:30 pm.  You can also hear shortened versions of the interviews Monday during Morning Mix and during Evening Report at 5:30 pm.

The winner gets a 4 -year term.  The other North Latah Highway Commissioners are Rich Hansen of Potlatch, who is running unopposed this year, and Charles Bond of Moscow, who has two years remaining in his term.
