                  3 Dead in Moscow Shootings – Police Press Conference Audio

                  THREE PEOPLE ARE DEAD, AND A FOURTH WOUNDED IN SHOOTING INCIDENTS AT THREE LOCATIONS IN MOSCOW TODAY (SATURDAY). POLICE BELIEVE THE SHOOTER AT ALL THREE LOCATIONS WAS 29 YEAR OLD JOHN LEE.

                  LEE REPORTEDLY SHOT TWO PEOPLE AT THE OFFICE OF Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance AT 303 EAST THIRD STREET IN MOSCOW ABOUT 2:30 P.M., KILLING 76 YEAR OLD DAVID TRAIL.

                  MICHAEL CHIN OF SEATTLE, WHO HAPPENED TO BE IN THE OFFICE AT THE TIME ON BUSINESS, WAS INJURED IN THE SHOOTING WITH GUNSHOT WOUNDS TO AN ARM AND LEG. POLICE SAY CHIN CALLED THEM AND REPORTED THE SHOOTING AND POLICE RESPONDED TO THE SCENE, BUT THE SHOOTER FLED. THE DAILY NEWS WEBSITE REPORTS CHIN IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AT GRITMAN MEDICAL CENTER.

                  THE SHOOTER THEN WENT TO THE MOSCOW ARBY’S RESTAURANT ON THE PULLMAN ROAD AND ASKED FOR THE MANAGER. POLICE SAY LEE SHOT AND KILLED THE MANAGER, 47 YEAR OLD BELINDA NIEBUHR, WHEN SHE APPEARED.

                  POLICE SAY LEE THEN LED THEM ON A HIGH SPEED CHASE THAT ENDED NORTH OF COLFAX WITH LEE CRASHING HIS VEHICLE ON ROUTE 195 AT ABOUT 3:20 P.M. LEE WAS TAKEN TO WHITMAN REGIONAL HOSPITAL AFTER HIS ARREST.

                  MOSCOW POLICE THEN BEGAN INQUIRING INTO LEE’S ASSOCIATIONS, AND WENT TO THE HOME OF HIS ADOPTIVE MOTHER ON THE 400 BLOCK OF VEATCH STREET, WHO WAS FOUND DEAD OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS. THE DECEASED AT THAT LOCATION WAS 61 YEAR OLD TERRI GRZEBIELSKI.   GRZEBIELSKI WAS A PHYSICIAN’S ASSISTANT AT MOSCOW FAMILY MEDICINE AND VOCALIST FOR THE LOCAL BAND HENRY C. AND THE WILLARDS.
