If you like grade B movies check out the “So Bad Its Good” film series at The Kenworthy Performing Arts Center happening every Tuesday in April at 10 p.m. Cost for series is $10 or 4$ for each film at the door.
The 16th Annual Moscow Hemp Fest will be held at East City Park on Saturday April 21st. from 10 a.m. till dark. It’s a full day of speakers, music and hemp related vendors selling their wares. Petitions will be circulated for the Idaho Medical Choice act. The musical guests include: Groove Patrol, Voodoo Horseshoes, Robb Boatsman and Rampage, Friends of the Devil and Chubby Facemelt. To end the evening, Bio Luminesce, a unique troupe of fire dancers and drummers from Sandpoint will perform their special fire and dance wonders to close out the day. The event is free. A group of local artists has an exhibit of their work at One World Café at the corner of Main and 6th and will host an opening reception Saturday April 21st from 7 – 10 p.m.
Mark your calendars for Diva’s Night Out, Saturday April 21st. Some of the best female vocalists from the area will provide an evening of fabulous music in a benefit for the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center.
Entertainers include Terry G, Alane Watkins, Karen Launchbaugh, Tara Hoger, Donna Parks, Joan Alexander, Marci Stephens, Heidi Muller, The Glee Three and others too numerous to name. Tickets are 10$ at the door and a wine bar will be available in the lobby.
The Moscow League of Women Voters will host the District 6 Idaho Legislators for their report on the 2012 Legislative Session Wednesday April 25th, at noon in the Fiske room of the 1912 Center. The public is invited to attend. Third Street Gallery is located at 206 E. Third Street, Moscow ID hours are M-F 8-5 pm.
The Third Street Gallery ‘s current exhibit Active in April showcases children’s art created by students K – 8th grade all about active travel, and will continue through April 24th. The show then moves to Gritman Medical Center til June 8th. The exhibit also features some of the Safe Routes 2 Schools program events that encourage kids to walk, bike, roll or bus to school.
Moscow Community Theatre is hosting a membership party April 26th at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center. The evening will begin with a 1950” style sock hop at 5:30, and at 7 P.m. the movie Grease will be shown. The party is open to all MCT members. Memberships are $5 annually and are available at the door. Anyone aged 13 and older may become a full member of MCT. (Everyone 12 and younger who comes with a member is welcome to attend any part of the membership party!)
The annual Moscow CommUNITY Walk will happen Saturday April 28th . Everyone is invited to gather in Friendship Square at noon and walk together to East City Park in the spirit of unity . A community meal will be served at 1:30 in East City Park, and you are welcome to bring side dishes to share. There will music, speakers and games . Shuttle service will be available for those who may need a ride to the park.
