        Thursday May 3rd, Singer/ songwriter and humanitarian Amy Blue will be in Moscow at the Palouse Folklore’s First Thursday Concert. 7 PM at the Attic. Free will donations accepted

        Friday May 4th COMMUNITY CONTRA DANCE will be hosted by The Palouse Folklore Society at the Unitarian Church (Corner of 2nd St and Van Buren in Moscow. Music by Potatohead, and Susan Dankovich will be calling the moves . everybody welcome. $8 admission, $5 Newcomers, $6 Folklore Society members. Lessons start at 7:30 p.m. Dances begin at 8 p.m. Tea and light snacks served

        Saturday May 5th.Moscow Farmers Market opens its season . Highlights include local fresh produce, farm raised meat, cheeses and honey, delicious baked goods, herbs, fresh flowers and handmade crafts by local artisans. The market is in Friendship Square downtown from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This Saturday Natalie Rose will perform at 9:30 and Jeremiah Atkin at 11:45.

        May 5th and 6th we are excited to ring in spring with The 39th Annual Moscow Renaissance celebration Fair in East City Park. Fair highlights include a welcome ceremony at 10:15 with the Ren Fair royalty, Dave Hall and Helen Yost. Maypole dance at 1:30 pm Saturday and 2:45 on Sunday. Join the parade at 3Pm. on Saturday. The fair offers two full days of festivities and entertainment to celebrate spring including, children’s events and youth Stage, food booths, arts and craft vendors Saturdays headliners are Tony Furtado band @ 5:30 and Dublounge/international at 7:30 Sunday Buffalo Death Beam will be playing at 3:30on the main stage and the Maypole Bards will perform on the youth stage at 11:30 Please leave your dogs home. Admission is free.         May 7 th through 11th The University of Idaho Department of Theatre presents 1-Act Play Festival “All in One”. Ten one act plays will be presented 7 PM at the Kiva. admission is $5 A complete list of plays can be found at www. uitheatre.com. Or call 208-885-6465.

        Saturday,May 19th, 2012 The Latah Trail Foundation will be hosting a Dinner and Auction at the Best Western University Inn of Moscow.  Festivities start at 6:00 pm. Enjoy an evening of dining, live music performed by The Hoot Hoots and great auction pieces.                     KRFP Arts and Events Calendar 4-25-2012

                    The University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts presents “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” . Thursday , Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday, April 29 at 2:00 PM in the Hartung Theatre. General admission $10. Admission is free for U-Idaho students.

                    It may be worth a trip to Lewiston this weekend for Art Under the Elms on the Lewis-Clark State College campus. This annual event features over 100 artist booths and more than 20 food vendors. Festival hours are Friday, April 27, 12 – 6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Music and entertainment is scheduled each day with special concert on Saturday night at 7 PM, “Shake, Rattle and Roll – A Rockin’ Tribute to the King”, with renowned Elvis impersonator Scot Bruce. General admission to the festival is 3$ for a three day pass and 2$ for seniors, kids under 6 free.

                    For a complete schedule of events go to lcsc.edu/aue. Art Under the Elms is coordinated by LCSC Continuing Education and Community Events. Money raised is used to fund continuing education and events.

                    The Washington Idaho Symphony presents the final concert of the season: Bohemian Sketches. The orchestra lead by Jeremy Briggs Roberts will feature cellist Walter Grey in performances

                    The current exhibit at the Prichard Gallery features Youdhisthir Maharjan, “Nothing Repeated” and Allie Feezell, “An Absurd Creation Driven by Metaphysical Speculation and Active Meditation”
                    This MFA thesis exhibit runs through May 5th. The gallery is located at the corners of 5th and Main Street, in downtown Moscow, and is open Tuesday-Saturday: 10am-8pm and
                    Sunday: 10am-6pm. Admission is free.

                    Join the annual Moscow CommUNITY Walk this Saturday April 28th . Everyone is invited to gather in Friendship Square at noon and walk together to East City Park in the spirit of unity . A community meal will be served at 1:30 in East City Park, and you are welcome to bring food to share. There will music, speakers and games . Shuttle service will be available for those who may need a ride to the park from Friendship Square.

                    Mark your calendars:

                    The Moscow Renaissance Fair will happen as always come rain or come shine the first weekend in May Saturday and Sunday May 5th and 6th at East City Park.
